Bob Smith's Sketchbook


For those unfamiliar with popular culture, Mr McAvennie
is a Scottish personality of footballing background.
'Whurz ra burdz?' is the catchphrase of the character for
which he is renowned. Mr McAveety is a member of the
Scottish Parliament who resigned as chairman of the
public petitions committee last week after being heard
commenting favourably on the physical attractiveness
of a young woman in the audience – Ed
