Mural madness

Islay McLeod visits Invergordon

Stroll down the main street of Invergordon and you come across not one eye-catching sight, but many. Artists have been commissioned to brighten up this struggling post-industrial town on the Cromarty Firth. But have they succeeded? Judge for yourself...

You can either stop to admire this sporting mural at the petrol station – or get out of town as fast as possible

Note the window – possibly it has the best view

No gable end is safe from the publicly funded paintbrushes of Invergordon

Invergordon in jollier days?

By this stage I was wishing someone would rescue me

Then I was drummed out of town
