Local Hero II The man of Menie who refuses to budge Photo essay by Islay McLeod on Michael Forbes
'I bought my first bit of land here in the 70s. I don't really farm any more since they started bringing in ID for cattle and other things like that. The animals I've got now are just pets. I'm a summer fisherman these days.' 'I've had letters from all over the world supporting me. Micky Fit (Michael Foot) has been a great help.' 'Trump lives on the top of a skyscraper. He doesn't understand about wildlife.' 'I woke up one morning and found 'No Golf Course' spraypainted on the outhouse. I don't know who did it. Trump thinks it was me but it wasn't.'
