Roulette is my main game so I've spent way too much time comparing sites and I may as well share what I've worked out.
First the strategy stuff because it needs saying: no betting system beats the house edge. Martingale, Fibonacci, D'Alembert — all of them fail in the long run because the maths doesn't care about your system. What they can do is manage your session variance and give you a structure if you find random betting stressful. But please don't go in thinking you've found a way to beat roulette. You haven't. Nobody has.
RTP is where it actually matters. European roulette has one zero and an RTP of 97.3%. American roulette has two zeros and an RTP of 94.7%. This is not a small difference over any volume of play. Never voluntarily play American roulette if European is available. French roulette with La Partage rule (half your even-money stake returned on zero) pushes RTP to 98.65% — best you'll find anywhere.
For live roulette, Evolution Gaming runs the best tables by a distance. Lightning Roulette is brilliant for entertainment — the multipliers can be genuinely exciting — but the RTP is lower than standard European because of how the multipliers are funded. If you care about RTP, stick to their standard Immersive Roulette or the French table.
Sites I use for live roulette: 888 Casino — consistently available live tables, smooth stream, never had issues cashing out Betway — good table variety including French roulette which is harder to find LeoVegas — mobile experience is excellent if you're playing on phone
For RNG roulette, honestly I barely bother but if you need to wager a bonus and want roulette, look for European single zero variants with a listed RTP above 97%.
Happy to answer questions on any of this.
